A WordPress developer on call, without hiring one.

Most businesses don't need a full-time developer. They need someone who answers when the contact form stops sending, and who already knows how the site is put together.

A developer on call for WordPress support

There's an awkward gap between a site that mostly works and needing a developer on payroll. Something breaks, or a page needs changing, and you're either learning WordPress yourself at 9pm or trying to re-hire whoever built it two years ago.

Support fills that gap. Small changes handled, breakages fixed, questions answered the same day, by someone who has already read your codebase.

The problem

What happens without
someone on call.

The original developer is gone

Nobody currently reachable understands how the site was built, so every small change starts with an archaeology project.

Small changes take weeks

A price update or a new team member sits in a queue because there's no straightforward way to get it done.

Silent failures

The contact form stopped delivering three weeks ago and you found out from a customer who thought you'd ignored them.

Emergency rates

When something breaks and you have no arrangement, you pay whatever the first available developer charges.

What we build

What support
actually covers.

01

Same-day responses

In US business hours, from someone who already knows your site rather than someone reading it for the first time.

02

Small changes included

A monthly allowance for content edits, new pages, template tweaks and the routine things that shouldn't need a quote.

03

Emergency recovery

Site down, hacked or broken after an update, restoring it is covered rather than billed as a separate crisis.

04

Form and integration monitoring

We check the things that fail silently, because those cost you enquiries you never learn about.

05

Plain-English answers

Including when the honest answer is that you don't need the thing you asked for.

06

Documented as we go

Every change recorded, so the site becomes better understood rather than more mysterious over time.

Why we'd build this on WordPress

WordPress rewards continuity. A developer who already knows your theme, your plugin choices and your integrations does in twenty minutes what a stranger needs half a day for.

  • One team that already knows your codebase
  • Small changes handled without a quote each time
  • Emergency recovery covered rather than billed as a crisis
How we work

How support works.

  1. 01

    Onboarding audit

We read the site (theme, plugins, integrations, hosting), and document it, so the first real request isn't slowed down by discovery.

  2. 02

    You email us

No ticket portal to learn. Describe the problem or the change in plain language.

  3. 03

    We confirm scope

Same day: whether it's inside your allowance, and if not, what it would cost. Never a surprise.

  4. 04

    Work on staging

Anything beyond a content edit is done and checked on staging before it touches the live site.

  5. 05

    Monthly summary

What was done, what we noticed, and anything worth planning for. Written for a business owner, not a developer.

Budget

What moves the price on
support.

We quote fixed prices per project rather than by the hour, so scope is what determines cost. These are the four things that move it most.

Size of the change allowance

The main driver. How much routine work you want covered each month versus quoted as it arises.

Site complexity

A brochure site is quicker to support than a membership site with custom integrations and e-commerce.

Response commitment

Same-day in business hours is standard. Genuine out-of-hours emergency cover costs more, and most businesses don't need it.

State of the site

A well-built site is cheaper to support. If we inherit something fragile, we'll quote honestly and suggest what to fix first.

Every project is quoted individually. Tell us what you need and we'll come back within one business day with scope, timeline and a fixed price.

The value in a support arrangement is mostly continuity. Someone who already knows your site fixes things in a fraction of the time a stranger needs, and doesn't have to guess at why something was built that way.

It also means small problems get mentioned early, while they're still small.

FAQ

Questions businesses
ask us most.

What counts as a small change?+

Content edits, adding or updating pages, swapping images, adjusting a form, small template tweaks, plugin configuration. Anything genuinely new (a feature, a redesign, an integration), is quoted separately, and we'll always tell you which side of the line something falls on before starting.

How is this different from a maintenance plan?+

Maintenance is proactive and scheduled (updates, backups, monitoring. Support is reactive), you need something changed or fixed. Most clients want both, and we combine them into one monthly arrangement rather than selling two.

Do you support sites you didn't build?+

Yes, that's most of them. We start with an onboarding audit so we understand the site before the first real request, rather than learning it on your time during an emergency.

What if we barely use it some months?+

Then you've paid for availability you didn't need, which is how insurance works. If that's consistently the case we'll suggest moving you to a smaller plan, we'd rather you stayed at the right level than quietly overpaid.

How fast do you respond?+

Same day during US business hours, usually within a few hours. Genuine emergencies (site down, site compromised), jump the queue.

Is there a contract?+

Monthly, cancel any time. You keep full access to everything throughout, so leaving is never complicated.
